Paul McCartney confirms he'll headline Firefly Music Festival
Paul McCartney and Firefly Music Festival finally laid the rumors to rest Feb. 25 and announced McCartney will headline the upcoming Firefly Music Festival June 18 through 21 at the Woodlands in Dover, DE. It will be McCartney's first ever appearance at Firefly and the latest confirmed date of this year’s Out There tour, which follows on the recent announcement of his April 21 to May 2 concerts in Japan and South Korea.

According to the festival's Facebook page, VIP and Super VIP passes go on sale this Friday at noon EST. General admission passes and camping packages go on sale Monday at noon EST. More ticket information is available on Firefly's website. The festival announced today it is giving away 10 tickets to the festival for every 1,000 shares. To enter, like ‪#‎Firefly2015‬ on Facebook.

Rumors have swirled for a while now that McCartney would be appearing at the festival. Firefly released most of its lineup well over a week ago except for one name that was held back and blurred out on the list of performers. The name was apparently intentionally made not to look like McCartney's to throw people off, though the festival web page said it was held back until “final approval.” McCartney's appearance at the festival is now confirmed.

McCartney was reported Tuesday to have popped into a Vermont cafe and had a quiet dinner with wife Nancy Shevell after skiing. On the same day, daughters Mary and Stella were in London for a charity event. Late last week, Paul McCartney was awarded the Major Tour of the Year Award at the 26th Annual PollStar Awards at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, Tennessee.
